SANTO DOMINGO.- The weather conditions affecting some provinces of the Dominican Republic this Wednesday, leaving significant rainfall accumulations that have caused chaos in sectors of the country's capital and other provinces, have led public and private entities to adjust their work schedules, taking into account that the authorities forecast that the rains will continue.
In that regard, and due to the rainfall recorded in the country in recent hours, the Real Estate Registry announced this Wednesday, April 8, the suspension of in-person work, joining the provision issued by the Government, given the situation.
The Ministry of Public Administration (MAP) reported that, due to adverse weather conditions affecting the national territory and in response to alerts issued by official civil protection agencies, especially the Emergency Operations Center (COE), work in public institutions will continue under a minimal in-person presence scheme, prioritizing teleworking in functions that allow it, with the aim of preserving the safety of public servants and ensuring the continuity of state services.
The Property Registry clarifies that staff authorized to work remotely will continue performing their duties as usual. The measure applies to administrative offices in the National District and Santo Domingo, according to the entity's statement.
It calls on users to use digital channels to carry out procedures and requests.
