Government freezes fuel prices again

SANTO DOMINGO.- The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM) froze the price of all fuels for the week of Saturday, March 26 to Friday, April 1, according to the institution's new resolution released today.

In that regard, the price of a gallon of premium gasoline will be sold at 293.60 pesos and that of regular gasoline at 274.50 pesos, both maintaining their cost.

Likewise, the price of diesel will be 241.10 pesos per gallon and regular diesel will be 221.60 pesos per gallon, with the price remaining unchanged from the previous week.

Similarly, the price of a gallon of liquefied petroleum gas will be offered to the public at 147.60 pesos, remaining frozen, and natural gas will be sold at 28.97 pesos per cubic meter.

To prevent increases in the price of hydrocarbons, the government will allocate 1.15 billion pesos in subsidies this week, according to the Deputy Minister of the MICM, Ramón Pérez Fermín.

Other fuels that maintain their prices per gallon are: Avtur (RD$249.53), Kerosene (RD$284.90), Fuel Oil #6 (RD$192.11 per gallon) and Fuel Oil 1%S remains at RD$211.77 per gallon.
