The Business Directory is a statistical exercise that presents the set of formally established employing companies in the Dominican Republic, compiled from updated and validated administrative records.

The bulletin characterizes companies according to economic activity, company size, geographical location, employment and remuneration.

The figures correspond to the period October-December 2025, compared with the same quarter of 2024, and reflect the stock of active companies registered month by month.

Investment and urban development

The business performance of the construction and real estate market occurs in a context where these activities are positioned as pillars of the Dominican economy.

According to the Central Bank, construction maintains a high impact on gross fixed capital formation, due to its close relationship with infrastructure, housing and tourism development projects.

Likewise, urban growth in the country's main economic centers has driven the expansion of services linked to the real estate market, such as brokerage, property management and rentals.

The dynamism of these activities is especially reflected in the National District, Santo Domingo and Santiago, where the largest number of formal companies and a large part of the urban and residential development projects are concentrated.

Overall, the data from the Business Directory shows that, despite the challenges of the economic cycle, construction and real estate activities continue to expand their business base, generate employment and register salary improvements, consolidating themselves as key sectors in the Dominican productive structure.
