Six people died after a building under construction collapsed early Saturday morning in São Paulo, Brazil, while two other people were rescued alive, the EFE news agency.
According to the São Paulo Fire Department, the dead include three women, one of them pregnant, a girl, and two men.
Authorities located the four people who had been missing among the rubble, thus concluding the search and rescue efforts.

The collapse occurred during a night marked by heavy rains in the city of São Paulo. However, Civil Defense clarified that, at the moment, there is no evidence to directly attribute the collapse to the rainfall.
Authorities indicated that it is not yet possible to determine whether weather conditions had any impact on the accident.
