The vehicle restriction will begin this Friday at 10:00 PM and will extend until the early hours of Saturday morning. The Santo Domingo Bypass and the Sánchez Highway will serve as alternate routes
SANTO DOMINGO. – The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) announced this Friday that there will be a partial closure of the 6 de Noviembre Highway, near the Quita Sueño exit, due to the installation of beams in the motorized and pedestrian overpass of that location.
According to the institution, the intervention will begin this Friday, October 30, at 10:00 p.m., and will conclude at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday the 31st.
During that interval, the authorities will implement measures to maintain traffic in the area and reduce any traffic difficulties that may arise while the work is being carried out.
The ring road and the Sánchez highway are among the alternative routes
As part of the traffic plan, one lane of the 6 de Noviembre Highway will be opened in each direction to allow vehicles to pass through the area where the work will be carried out.
Similarly, drivers will have the Santo Domingo Ring Road and the Sánchez Highway as options, which they can use to avoid delays and facilitate their journeys.

DIGESETT, INTRANT and COMIPOL will coordinate traffic
To ensure road safety during the operation, agents from the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety (DIGESETT), the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (INTRANT) and the Military and Police Commission (COMIPOL) will work in a coordinated manner to regulate the flow of vehicles and assist users.
Given these regulations, Public Works recommended that drivers plan their routes in advance, pay attention to warning signs, and follow the instructions of officers and technical personnel present at the scene.
Finally, the agency apologized for any inconvenience the work may cause and explained that this intervention is part of the actions aimed at improving road connectivity and traffic conditions in that section.
