SANTO DOMINGO.- The BHD Financial Center announced the appointments of Andrés Maldonado as executive president of that entity and Fidelio Arturo Despradel as executive president of Banco BHD.
These appointments are part of BHD's organizational transformation plan to ensure its growth as one of the country's most important and diversified financial groups, and the development and continuity of its leadership in an increasingly challenging international environment.
The appointments were reviewed and approved by the boards of Centro Financiero BHD and Banco BHD as provided in the statutes, and will take effect on March 1, 2025.
Andrés Maldonado is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo BHD. For over ten years, he has served on the boards of directors of Centro Financiero BHD and Banco BHD, where he chairs their respective strategy committees. He has a distinguished track record in business consulting as an expert in long-term planning for value creation.

As CEO of Centro Financiero BHD, he will report to Luis Molina Achécar, president of Centro Financiero BHD and Grupo BHD.
Fidelio Arturo Despradel has over 35 years of continuous service at BHD, where he has held various positions. He has served as treasurer of Banco BHD for more than two decades. During this time, he has been actively involved in the creation and development of the country's capital market, distinguished by his leadership and knowledge of the financial market. He will report to Steven Puig, president of Banco BHD.
Replacing Despradel, the Vice Presidency of Treasury will be filled by Vera Jean Jiménez, who has extensive experience in the area, with 23 years at the institution.
On the other hand, Luis Lembert, who has been linked to Banco BHD for the last 37 years and held the position of general manager, is retiring and will remain as an advisor to the company's president.
With the organizational transformation plan, the BHD Financial Center continues to strengthen its leadership, consolidates its adherence to best practices in corporate governance, and reaffirms its commitment to excellence and the sustainable growth of its companies and the country.
