SANTO DOMINGO.– The Dominican Association of Portland Cement Producers (ADOCEM) recognized businessman Mariano Briceño Yépez for his 50-year career in the construction sector and his contribution to the development of real estate projects in the region.
The award was presented during the presentation of the entity's 2025 Memoirs, an event in which other actors and institutions linked to the country's economic, environmental and business development were also recognized.
Briceño Yépez is the founder and president of Grupo Bricket, a company established in 1976 with a presence in the Dominican Republic for over two decades. Throughout his career, he has participated in the development of residential, commercial, and institutional projects in various markets across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Upon receiving the award, the businessman noted that construction activity should contribute to the development of communities and the improvement of people's quality of life, while also highlighting the importance of promoting initiatives based on innovation and sustainability.
Sustainability in real estate development
According to information from Grupo Bricket, the company has developed more than 20,000 homes and over 60 real estate projects throughout its history. In the Dominican Republic, it has participated in the development of more than 2,500 residential units.
Among the projects promoted by the firm are Caroní, in Santo Domingo Norte, and Araya Punta Cana, a residential proposal developed under standards of sustainability and efficiency in the use of resources.
