Drivers will be able to use the Duarte, Mella, and Juan Bosch bridges as alternate routes
SANTO DOMINGO.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) announced this Friday that the Floating Bridge over the Ozama River will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic tomorrow, Saturday, April 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., to allow the passage of a vessel.
The institution explained that the measure is in response to the arrival of the vessel MV GREEN CHIEF, belonging to the MYD Marine Repairs SA dock, which will be undergoing repair work during the established period.
The Floating Bridge, which connects the National District with the Villa Duarte sector in the municipality of Santo Domingo East, will remain out of service during that interval, so drivers are urged to take precautions.
As alternative routes, the MOPC recommends using the Matías Ramón Mella, Juan Pablo Duarte and Juan Bosch bridges to travel between Santo Domingo and Villa Duarte, in both directions.
