DAJABÓN - The provincial directorate of the Ministry of Tourism formed the tourist security committee yesterday morning, Friday, through which actions are consolidated to guarantee the effectiveness of the tourist destination in this locality.
The event took place in the assembly hall of the town hall of this municipality, and was led by Yuberquis Suero, representative of the government institution.
Suero explained that the objective of the meeting was to exchange actions and strategies for well-being and health tourism in which institutions linked to tourism and recreation activities interact within that border area.
He stated that this activity represents a step forward in the goal of ensuring the safety of visitors to this area and demonstrates the firm commitment of the public sector to work towards promoting the successful development of tourism.
Present at the event were Junior Escoto, president of the chamber of commerce and production; Carmen Rodríguez, president of the tourism cluster; Nancy Betances, coordinator of the network for the protection of children and adolescents; Frank Rodríguez, mayor of the municipality of Loma de Cabrera, representatives of the mayor's office of El Pino, the Municipal District of Santiago de la Cruz, the provincial government, the provincial health directorate, environmental leaders, among other public institutions.
