SANTO DOMINGO. — The Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts chain is restructuring its offerings with a change that directly targets traveler behavior: fewer traditional categories and more experiences defined according to customer type.
A clearer offer for the traveler
The company presented a new organization of its hotels based on two main lines: Bahia Principe Escape, focused on adults, and Bahia Principe Explore, aimed at families and groups.
The goal is to simplify the booking process in a market where guests' decisions are increasingly focused on the type of experience rather than the level of luxury or the hotel's category.
The change leaves behind previous schemes that divided the offer into multiple levels and opts for a more direct segmentation: rest, wellness and exclusivity for adults, versus dynamic and shared proposals for family audiences.
More than image: a change of strategy
The transformation also includes a visual brand refresh and a new global positioning, aligned with a growing trend in the tourism industry: connecting with the traveler's emotions and the destination's culture.
This move comes within the framework of the alliance between the Grupo Piñero group and Hyatt Hotels Corporation, which operate the brand jointly.
Greater international reach
As part of this integration, more than 20 of the chain's resorts will become part of the World of Hyatt loyalty program.
The addition will allow guests to collect and use points in destinations such as the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica and Spain, expanding the brand's international visibility and access to a global customer network.
A change that reflects the new tourist
Beyond the redesign, the adjustment reveals a change in the logic of the tourism business: selling fewer categories and offering clearer experiences, in a context where the traveler seeks personalized proposals that are easy to understand and aligned with their interests.
