SANTO DOMINGO.- The Executive Committee for Infrastructure in Tourist Zones (CEIZTUR) presented a National Public Tender for the reconstruction of the seafront of Andrés, municipality of Boca Chica, province of Santo Domingo, a process that is part of a broad recovery plan for Boca Chica, an emblematic beach resort of Greater Santo Domingo that has suffered environmental deterioration and urban pressure.
On January 21, 2025, President Luis Abinader declared the beach renovation a “strategic project” and assured that the necessary funds were already available. In November 2025, during his weekly press conference, he announced that the Ministry of Tourism was working on the bidding process “to substantially improve Boca Chica beach.”.
For his part, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, stated on January 22, 2025, that "I will not leave without completely renovating Boca Chica," highlighting that technical surveys had already begun and committing to an investment "of respect and dignity.".
Call for applications
The call for proposals, identified with the reference CEIZTUR-CCC-LPN-2025-0008, was published in December 2025 and establishes as the deadline for receiving proposals February 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Pro-Dominicana headquarters, Avenida 27 de Febrero corner Gregorio Luperón, National District.
The terms and conditions set out the technical and economic requirements that interested companies must submit, both in physical format and electronically through the Electronic System of Public Procurement (SECP).
Bidders must be registered in the State Supplier Registry (RPE) and may conduct an inspection visit to the construction site on January 13, 2026, as stipulated in the official document.
With this tender, CEIZTUR seeks to award the work under the transparency standards of Law 340-06 and its regulations, in a process that will be evaluated by experts appointed without conflicts of interest, as stipulated in the tender documents.
