SANTO DOMINGO.- The Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies of the Dominican Republic (AEI) considers the approval in the first reading of the bill that regulates real estate intermediation a transcendental step, an initiative promoted by the sector to strengthen transparency, legal security and confidence in the national real estate market.
Alberto Bogaert, president of the AEI, expressed his gratitude to the Senate of the Dominican Republic for supporting this proposal, highlighting the commitment shown to regulations that seek to protect both investors and Dominican families who acquire their homes.
“This progress represents a significant achievement for the entire organized real estate sector, the result of years of work, dialogue, and consensus. We are confident that the legislative process will continue to advance through its second reading and subsequent stages until its final approval,” Bogaert stated.
The approval in the first reading marks the beginning of a key stage in the legislative process, reiterating the importance of continuing to promote this project, which will contribute to the orderly development of the market, consumer protection and the institutional strengthening of the country.
Furthermore, the association reaffirms its willingness to continue collaborating with the authorities and stakeholders involved, contributing its experience and technical knowledge to achieve a robust, balanced, and effective law.
