Advanced robotic technology that increases the efficiency of solar panels arrives in the country and throughout the Caribbean

SANTO DOMINGO.- Solarboost presented Solarcleano robots in the Dominican Republic, an innovative robotic technology designed to maximize the lifespan and performance of solar panels, guaranteeing greater energy efficiency and a lower environmental impact.

Solar panels are a significant investment for renewable energy generation, but their performance can be affected by the accumulation of dirt, dust, and other contaminants on their surface. In this regard, SolarCleano robots represent an innovation in renewable energy and automation, improving the efficiency of solar panels through automated cleaning—crucial for reducing dependence on fossil fuels and mitigating climate change.

“We are excited to introduce our robots, an innovative solution that combines cutting-edge technology with a continued commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency,” said Menioli Álvarez, General Manager of Solarboost. “These robots will not only simplify and reduce the maintenance costs of solar panels, but will also help maximize their performance and lifespan, helping our customers get the highest return on their solar energy investment,” Álvarez emphasized.

Robotic cleaning of solar panels offers many significant advantages over manual cleaning:

• Efficiency: One robot performs the equivalent of 10 people's work. Up to 2,000 panels per day per robot.

• Safety: Remote operation from the ground, without risk of falls.

• Protection: There is no risk of physical damage to the panels from operator footsteps.

• Consistency: Ensures a uniform cleaning quality.

• Lower water consumption: Cleaning robots are designed to use water much more efficiently than manual methods. Less than 1 liter of water per panel.

• Long-term cost reduction: Savings in labor and prevention of damage to panels result in significant savings over time.

Solarcleano robots, distributed by Solarboost throughout the Caribbean region, are part of an emerging technology that seeks to optimize and automate the maintenance of solar installations.

Through the continuous rotation and movement of brushes certified by panel manufacturers, robots remove the layer of contamination created by particles, rain, sediment, salt, and Saharan dust, which prevents the panels from fully harnessing sunlight. With this robot's cleaning and intelligent equipment, solar panels can increase their energy production capacity by more than 25%, minimizing the risk of panel damage and using less water, thus reducing maintenance costs. This represents a significant economic advantage.

With the introduction of the SolarCleano robots, Solarboost reaffirms its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and leadership in the renewable energy industry. Solarboost will continue to explore new ways to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of solar energy, thereby contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future for all.
