The electric company will carry out maintenance this Saturday, May 23, to strengthen the electric transmission network

The entity reported that the works will include the 69 kV Hainamosa–Boca Chica line and the Timbeque substation as part of its infrastructure modernization plan

SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican Electricity Transmission Company (ETED) reported that this Saturday, May 23, it will carry out maintenance work on the 69 kV Hainamosa – Boca Chica (Tamarindo) transmission line and at the 69 kV Timbeque substation.

According to the Presidency, crews will be replacing structures on the 69 kV Hainamosa – Boca Chica (Tamarindo) power line from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Due to this work, power will be affected in the Tamarindo and Kilometer 24 sectors of the municipality of Santo Domingo Este, as well as in the community of Guerra, which belongs to Greater Santo Domingo. The Eastern Aqueduct, San Isidro Air Base, Maranatha Solar Park, Grupo Ramos Mella, Gildan Free Zone, and Mata de Palma facilities will also be impacted.

Preventive maintenance will be carried out at the 69 kV Timbeque substation from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. For operational safety reasons, it will be necessary to open Edeeste distribution circuits, which will affect the electrical service in the sectors of Borojol, Ciudad Colonial, Ciudad Nueva, Gascue, La Atarazana, San Antón, San Carlos, San Lázaro, San Miguel, Santa Bárbara, Villa Francisca, Don Bosco and Villa Consuelo, in the National District.

Likewise, in Santo Domingo East, the power supply will be interrupted in the following sectors: Calero, El Pensador, Isabelita, La Francia, La Tablita, Los Caracoles–Sans Souci, Los Coquitos de las Américas, Los Mameyes, Los Molinos (Ozama), Maquiteria, Pueblo Nuevo, Residencial Flor del Faro, Residencial Turístico Sans Souci, and Simónico. The Grupo Ramos company (La Sirena, Avenida Mella) will also be affected.

ETED reiterated that these actions are part of its maintenance and modernization plan for the national transmission network, aimed at continuing to strengthen the stability and efficiency of the electrical system, as an enabler of the energy and digital transition of the Dominican Republic.
