CAP CANA, LA ALTAGRACIA. – REMAX Ocean inaugurated its new office in Cap Cana on October 22, 2026, located in Fishing Lodge C-49, Marina Cap Cana. This opening marks the firm's most significant step since beginning operations in 2024 and positions it within one of the country's most sought-after residential and investment destinations.
From this location, the company directly serves those seeking to buy, invest, or establish their residence in Cap Cana, with an offering ranging from vacation homes to high-value developments.
"There are dreams that are born in a family conversation and grow to become the purpose of an entire team. Today we are living one of them," said Mercedes Onorio, Broker Owner of REMAX Ocean, at the opening of the ceremony.
A family business behind the expansion
REMAX Ocean is managed by Mercedes Onorio and Felipe Mesa, both Broker Owners, along with their son Maximiliano Onorio, the firm's Broker Manager. Mercedes Onorio described working with her family as one of their greatest challenges and, at the same time, one of their main strengths.
"We have learned to listen to each other, to unite our differences, and to support each other when the road gets tough. This openness is the fruit of that unity," he stated.
During the event, he thanked Melido Marte and Tony Ramos, from the board of directors of RE/MAX Dominicana, and the regional office of the franchise for the trust placed in the firm, as well as the developers and partners who have opened their doors to him.
The new location joins the existing REMAX Ocean office in Downtown Punta Cana, at the Central Park Business Center. Both operate under the corporate name Mer Properties Max, SRL, and from these offices the firm markets residential properties, investment properties, and luxury properties in Bávaro, Punta Cana, and Cap Cana.
Being located within Cap Cana allows advisors to showcase projects on-site, work closely with local promoters and developers, and conduct each negotiation in the same location where the properties are situated, executives stated.
Mercedes Onorio dedicated the opening to the firm's advisors, whom she called the backbone of REMAX Ocean. "Their effort and perseverance have brought us to this point. This new home is also theirs, and we want it to be the stage for their next great achievements," she said.
The advisors who staff the Cap Cana office receive specific training about the area and its projects.
Felipe Mesa, Broker Owner of REMAX Ocean, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony. "Today, by cutting this ribbon, we renew our commitment to every person who believes in us," he stated.
Mesa added that the firm arrives in Cap Cana with enthusiasm and responsibility, "with the conviction that we still have much to build together," and that from the new REMAX Ocean headquarters it will continue to contribute to the growth of REMAX in the Dominican Republic.
The ceremony concluded with the phrase the firm chose for this new phase: "A new phase. The same commitment."
