SANTIAGO.- Sandy Rodríguez, the newly elected president of the Association of Developers and Builders of Cibao (Aprocovici), highlighted that during his term he will focus his plan on three directions: Promoting participatory leadership, improving the positioning of the association in the Cibao and the country, and defining the strategic vision for 2026-2030.
“Our proposal to promote participatory leadership can be summarized as delegation among the members of the board to address the various projects and areas in which we must act, and encouraging our associates to participate in the different committees,” the engineer explained in his inaugural address.
Rodríguez explained that in order to achieve a better positioning as an institution and influence the Cibao region, he proposes, during his two years at the head of Aprocovici, to form chapters in the provinces with the greatest impact in the region and to hold the construction fair.
“Let us remember that we are the developers of this region, especially Santiago, therefore we have the commitment to build the cities we want, together with all the actors in our region,” said the director of Gizeh Constructora.

He explained that to launch his program he will meet with representatives of state institutions, municipalities in the region, especially Santiago, and business associations, in addition to taking into account each of the members of the organization he heads.

Who is Sandy Rodriguez?
Rodríguez graduated with honors from the Santo Hermano Miguel de La Salle school, and continued his studies at the Pontifical Catholic University Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).
He graduated with honors in Civil Engineering. He began his professional career in 2000, working for various construction companies in Santiago, Samaná, Bávaro, and Jamaica. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
In 2007 he created the company Gizeh Constructora SRL, specializing in the construction of civil works, with a team with extensive experience in design, planning and execution of projects, standing out in the hotel, real estate and industrial industries.
His company is currently one of the leading construction companies in Santiago, with a portfolio of outstanding projects underway.

“Planning & Urbanism: The Medellín Case” was one of the first activities led by the new president of Aprocovici, where he advocated for asustainable city, where urban development is not synonymous with destruction, but with harmony with nature. “A Santiago where every person can live with dignity,” he emphasized.
He stated that it is everyone's responsibility, as leaders and citizens, to lay the foundations for a sustainable city, one that not only meets the needs of the present, but is also prepared for future generations.
“At Aprocovici, our work is to create value through urban planning tools, and for this we need the joint work of all the actors in our society with the mayor's office in directing the entire process,” Rodríguez emphasized.
