SANTO DOMINGO.-The Ministry of Public Works and Communications reported that due to the maintenance program being carried out by the electricity distribution companies, it will provide emergency electricity in the Las Américas tunnel until the Edeste service is regulated.
In an information note, the MOPC highlights that the supply of electricity to the tunnel has been interrupted due to the schedules that Edeste is currently carrying out.
He states that due to this situation, "the usual tunnel lighting services will be from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and from 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) regrets the inconvenience and asks for the public's understanding, especially from drivers who regularly use this road for their journeys.
