SANTO DOMINGO. – Seven international meetings, from Las Vegas to Dubai, make up the agenda that the construction industry has ahead until the end of 2026, with stops that cover materials, technology, sustainability and financing.
The first one kicks off this Tuesday, September 15th in Las Vegas, where Autodesk University will bring together architects, engineers and builders around BIM, artificial intelligence and automation applied to construction.
This is followed, from September 21 to 25, by Cersaie in Bologna, a leading trade fair for ceramics and wall coverings that usually anticipates trends in finishes for housing and hotels.
From September 28 to October 1, BATIMAT / Paris Builders Show, in France, brings together builders and developers around materials, modular construction and low carbon solutions.

For those who follow the Latin American market, Expo CIHAC, in Mexico City, from October 14 to 16, is the closest event in terms of language and context, with an exhibition and technical content on sustainable technologies and construction.
Almost simultaneously, from October 20 to 23, the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo in New York focuses on decarbonization, climate resilience and green finance, issues that are also beginning to have an impact in the context of the Dominican market.
As 2026 enters its final weeks, the Big 5 Global 2026, in Dubai from November 23-26, offers one of the world's largest platforms for machinery, supply chain and infrastructure.
The Buildings Show 2026 closes in Toronto from December 2-4, focusing on North American building operations, maintenance, and trends.
For the Dominican sector, these meetings are an opportunity to compare costs, technologies and business models with what is being discussed in other markets, before the 2027 planning begins.
Tourism, investment and luxury through December
Dominican tourism has its national event on the calendar: SDQ MICE 2026, which brings together hotels, suppliers and international buyers of meetings, incentives, congresses and exhibitions in Santo Domingo from September 21 to 23.
It is the only stop on this agenda that takes place in the country, making it strategic for hoteliers, agencies and local organizers looking to attract buyers directly.
From there, the agenda moves through the Caribbean and its main source markets.
From October 5 to 9, SOTIC 2026, in Georgetown, Guyana, brings together regional tourism authorities and leaders to discuss competitiveness, sustainability and Caribbean policies.
Around the same time, from October 5 to 7, the Caribbean Investment Forum in Bridgetown, Barbados, connects capital with projects in the region, with data on amounts and incentives that serve as a reference to compare with the Dominican Republic.
Dominican hoteliers, agencies, cruise operators and investors have in these meetings a direct way to measure demand, trends in source markets and regional competition before the end of 2026.
October continues to be busy: from the 12th to the 16th, the FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, brings together cruise lines, ports and destinations; and from the 12th to the 15th, IMEX America, in Las Vegas, United States, brings together convention bureaus and buyers of meetings and incentives on a global scale.
With the year entering its shortest stretch, November's offerings become more selective. World Travel Market London, England, from the 3rd to the 5th, is one of the world's largest B2B markets.
IBTM World, in Barcelona, Spain, from the 17th to the 19th, specializes in meetings and congresses; and Cityscape Global, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from the 16th to the 19th, crosses tourism with real estate through hospitality, branded residences and large developments.
The calendar closes with ILTM Cannes, France, from November 30 to December 3, a benchmark meeting for luxury tourism.
Miami: epicenter of real estate investment and development
The international real estate calendar for the remainder of 2026 has its highest concentration point in Miami, with three events bringing together brokers, developers, funds and investors linked to Latin America and the Caribbean.
The first, the International Real Estate Conference (IREC) 2026, organized by MIAMI REALTORS®, takes place from September 26 to 27 and focuses on international buyers, capital flows and the links between Miami and the Dominican Republic.
Before that, this Tuesday, September 15, Autodesk University 2026 kicks off in Las Vegas, with content on BIM, artificial intelligence and digitization applicable to real estate development.
And on October 28 and 29, Brazil GRI, in São Paulo, brings together Brazilian executives and funds around capital, credit, hospitality and logistics, with signals that are usually comparable for the Dominican market.
In the weeks remaining to close out the year, Dominican developers, investors, and real estate professionals have an opportunity at these seven meetings to present projects, attract capital, and closely observe the housing policies being discussed in other markets.
Miami will once again host the MIAMI Global Real Estate Congress from November 1-4, aimed at international delegations and focused on which Latin American markets are buying or investing in the city.
From November 17 to 19, Latin America GRI Real Estate, also in Miami, delves into debt, capital structures and fundraising for the region.
In Spain, Barcelona hosts two parallel events from November 3 to 5: the Smart City Expo World Congress and the Housing World Summit, both focusing on affordable housing, urban land and rehabilitation, topics that are directly connected to the social housing agenda being developed in the country.
And in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 16 to 19, Cityscape Global is showcasing megaprojects and master plans of international scope.
