In Spain, a businessman highlights the investment guarantees offered by the Dominican Republic

Edward De Valle II, president and CEO of Grupo De Valle, highlighted the potential of investing in the real estate and tourism sector in the Dominican Republic

“The time has come to review our investment decisions. It’s time to look towards more promising markets. Let’s pay attention to what’s happening here. Invest in the Dominican Republic,” the businessman said while giving a lecture at the Madrid Real Estate Exhibition (SIMA), which took place from May 21 to 24.

He referred to the growing role of the Dominican Republic as a strategic destination and the guarantees for real estate and tourism investment.

“Currently, the Dominican Republic is the leader in tourism in the region, enjoys an enviable political climate, and not to mention its extraordinary guarantees for investment,” De Valle II highlighted.

He argued that staying competitive isn't about designing modern and eye-catching buildings just to attract attention; it's about creating products that truly connect on a global level.

The businessman expressed his gratitude for being chosen to exhibit at this new edition of SIMA, an event that each year brings together around 500 companies, 7,000 professionals from the sector, 30 participating countries and a flow of more than 20,000 visitors during the 4 days of the celebration, reinforcing itself as a strategic platform for the promotion of destinations for real estate investment.

The presentation focused on hybrid developments and projects that combine hotel and condominium ownership, a model that is becoming increasingly prevalent in the country alongside international brands such as Wyndam.

De Valle II explained that these types of developments, known as condo-hotels, represent an attractive investment opportunity, as they combine personal use with a solid economic return. In his opinion, this model is helping to reposition the Dominican Republic as a key destination for tourism investment globally.

“If we consider that we have more than 400 million people in the north and almost 500 million in the south, it is clear that there is a huge opportunity for growth. It is not demand that limits us, but the lack of products that meet market standards,” the businessman emphasized.

De Valle called on investors to closely observe the current situation in the Dominican Republic.
