SANTO DOMINGO – The Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies (AEI) has announced its new board of directors for the 2024-2026 term. The organization affirms its commitment to promoting the development of the real estate sector and strengthening its relationship with the government and the legislature to regulate the market in the country.

The board, headed by Alberto Bogaert as president, also includes Juan Estévez as 1st Vice President, Wendy Gómez 2nd Vice President, Reyna Echenique as Secretary, Luis Miguel Rosario as Treasurer, Wanda Patricia del Orbe as 1st Member and Gustavo Tavares as 2nd Member.

Bogaert explained that this new management team envisions a period of significant events and achievements for the sector, citing among the upcoming projects the congress of the Latin American Real Estate Confederation (CILA), whose 2025 edition is scheduled to take place in the country in August of next year, with the AEI as host. This is a training event that aims to strengthen the professional development and training of its members.

"Furthermore, during this new board management, we will introduce the GREEN certification from the National Association of Realtors (NAR), an innovation that seeks to support agents in promoting properties with environmentally sustainable characteristics," Bogaert explained to El Inmobiliario.

Expansion and strengthening

The newly re-elected president, who is serving his third term in the position, added that the AEI will also expand its presence in the country by opening new branches in key areas such as the south, Santo Domingo province, Samaná-Terrenas and Puerto Plata.

With these growth-promoting measures, the institution seeks to improve access for professionals and clients to quality real estate services and strengthen cohesion between agents and companies throughout the country, Bogaert explains.

“Our commitment is to continue developing the career and the sector at all levels. We have many challenges in the short and medium term, in addition to continuing to strengthen our relationship with the State to achieve not only the long-awaited regulation, but also to always fight for our interests and those of our clients,” commented Alberto Bogaert.

He said that each member of the board brings invaluable experience to the team: Bogaert is part of RE/MAX Metropolitana, Juan Estévez of Mr. Asesores Inmobiliarios, Reyna Echenique of Echenique Real Estate, Wanda Patricia del Orbe of Keller Williams, Luis Miguel Rosario of Tú Casa RD, Gustavo Tavares of Real Brokers and Wendy Gómez of Valestian SRL.

"The AEI reaffirms its commitment to promoting a solid real estate environment, supported by a united team in its mission to professionalize and project the Dominican market into the future," Bogaert stated.
