SANTO DOMINGO.- Jiménez Moya Avenue will remain partially closed this Saturday, May 9, due to the "La Gran Fiesta Tropical" event, organized by Fineta Records, according to the National District Mayor's Office (ADN), the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant), and the General Directorate of Transit and Land Transportation Security (Digesett).
According to the publication shared by the institutions on their digital platforms, the closure will cover the section between the 30 de Mayo highway and Rafael Damirón street, starting at 5:00 p.m.
Authorities will enable alternate routes
According to the traffic plan disseminated by the entities, drivers will be able to travel using alternative routes such as Independencia Avenue, República del Líbano Avenue, Héroes de Luperón Avenue, Fray Cipriano de Utrera Avenue and other streets near the Centro de los Héroes.
The released map also establishes areas of total closure, partial restrictions, and designated parking spaces around the event.
They urge people to take precautions
As stated in the social media post, authorities recommended that citizens anticipate their journeys and use alternate routes to avoid congestion in the affected area.
They also urged drivers to pay attention to the directions of the traffic personnel who will be deployed in the area to facilitate vehicular traffic during the activity.
