President Luis Abinader inaugurated two state buildings yesterday in San Francisco de Macorís, with which the government seeks to improve efficiency , facilitate access to procedures waiting times .
The new facilities will also allow multiple state agencies to be unified in suitable spaces and prevent citizens from having to travel to other cities, the Presidency said in a press release.
The president assured at the opening ceremony that his government will continue working with efficiency and transparency high-impact projects are being built for Duarte province that will consolidate it as a great city.
He also pointed out that these works will be necessary and will benefit the entire population of the province and its municipalities.
The first building will house various public institutions, including the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) , the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant) , the General Directorate of Transit and Land Transportation Safety (Digesett) , the Ministry of Housing and Buildings (Mived) , INABIE , the Ministry of Labor and the General Directorate of Passports .
The second building will be the new headquarters of the Ministry of Youth , the National Emergency and Security System 911 , as well as the Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre) .
"Both buildings were built according to criteria of functionality and sustainability by the Presidential Commission for Support to Provincial Development," the press document states.
