SANTO DOMINGO.– Last week, Tourism Minister David Collado inaugurated a new edition of the Turizoneando platform, which will take place in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo from December 26, 2025 to April 26, 2026.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR), the program includes 18 consecutive weekends of cultural and tourist activities, organized in coordination with the Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster.

The press release details that the main activities of this edition include: Concerts in Colón Park and nights of live music with prominent artists, rock, jazz and choir performances in Tirso de Molina Square and the ruins of San Francisco.
In addition, there will be an artisan market, theater, and children's activities in Duarte Park, featuring local crafts and recreational offerings, extended museum hours, and "long nights" to explore history beyond regular hours. It also includes special access to iconic temples and churches in the area.
The Ministry of Tourism also reported that the activities will be accompanied by exclusive promotions in restaurants, bars, experiences and accommodations, as well as free bicycle tours to discover the Colonial City in an ecological way.
Turizoneando is a cultural and artistic festival held in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo to highlight the authentic flavors and cultural heritage of the Dominican Republic. It offers an unforgettable experience through concerts, cultural events, gastronomic promotions, artisan markets, and recreational activities, all aimed at boosting the local economy and promoting the rich Dominican history and culture. This initiative of the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) and the Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster, with the support of local partners, seeks to enhance the visitor experience, foster commerce, and showcase the region's flavors and heritage to both locals and international visitors.
