SANTO DOMINGO. - Billet, the 100% digital payment platform of Banco BHD, signed a strategic alliance with EPS (Express Parcel Service International, Inc.), which will allow Dominicans to easily access the Billet Visa Card through EPS's extensive network of offices.
The agreement consists of an initial phase of distributing Billet products in 17 offices, followed by expansion to over 100 EPS branches nationwide. These offices will serve as delivery and activation points for Billet Visa Cards, according to a press release.
He explains that the signing ceremony was carried out by Ángel Gil, executive vice president of Billet, and Dino Menicucci, president of EPS, along with Luis Menicucci, vice president of Marketing and Sales of EPS.
Gil stated that "this alliance will facilitate access for thousands of customers to our Billet payment solutions, physically, without the need to visit a bank branch. Furthermore, this channel will allow EPS customers to access digital payment methods and place their orders from the comfort of their homes, promoting financial inclusion and the digitization of services throughout the country.".
Gil also praised the use of the Billet Visa Card as a practical and secure financial solution that modernizes the way payments are made in the Dominican Republic.
"We have formalized this strategic alliance in which our EPS clients will have unique facilities for online purchases, greater proximity, convenience and speed in the delivery of Billet cards and in the payment of their purchases, taking advantage of the EPS infrastructure, because we are the courier with the greatest coverage throughout the country," said Luis Menicucci.
100% digital functionality
Billet is a service model from Banco BHD focused on financial inclusion and the democratization of payments in the Dominican Republic.
Michelle Santos, Commercial and Marketing Director of Billet, reported that the company gives consumers the opportunity to easily access a secure and simple payment method that allows them to make and receive purchases through EPS.
Regarding functionality, he said that having the Billet Visa Card is as simple as downloading the application, filling in the required data and requesting it, and then indicating the collection point of the card at EPS.
Another feature of Billet is the dynamic CVV. This is a three-digit security code that changes every three minutes to increase the protection of online purchases.
Freddy Tavares, Billet's second vice president of Strategic Alliances, emphasized that this agreement with EPS reinforces Billet's commitment to bringing its products closer to more Dominicans, "integrating strategic partners that multiply the reach and improve the customer experience.
