Leaders and officials requested that the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, and the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, promote the province of María Trinidad Sánchez as a tourist destination at FITUR 2027.
"In particular, Cabrera and Río San Juan, as dynamic tourist destinations, which are growing and expanding," the community members stated in a press release.
Community representatives met last weekend at the Playa Los Minos restaurant in Río San Juan, seeking to direct efforts to achieve the goal , which would boost that area as a tourist destination.
Those present included construction businessman Fermín Acosta , Congressman Jorge Cavoli; the Mayor of Río San Juan, Lenny Melo ; the Vice-Mayor of Nagua, Pamela Gerónimo ; along with officials from the Ministry of Tourism and a large audience of business leaders, developers, builders, real estate agents, chamber of commerce, non-profit institutions and representatives of professional associations.
At the meeting, Argentine architect Julio Corrale , who has developed the strategic plan for Santiago and the province of La Altagracia, spoke about the importance of territorial planning, while engineer Abraham Victoria offered a summary of the activities of the Tourism Cluster of the province of María Trinidad Sánchez.
management committee for FITUR 2027 was formed , with Fermín Acosta as president; Evelyn Henríquez as vice-president; Angelina Mata ( Angy ) as treasurer; Mical Morales as secretary; Génesis Reynoso in charge of political relations; Edwin Guzmán in charge of public relations and communications; and Eunicauris Ceballos (Nuny ) in charge of events and logistics.
