SANTO DOMINGO NORTE.- The Six, an innovative residential concept focused on sustainability, was presented in Santo Domingo Norte by the developer Sotavento Capital, who yesterday explained the construction details that will be implemented in this novel proposal that will add 715 apartments to this growing area of Greater Santo Domingo.
At an event attended by businesspeople, real estate agencies and agents, investors, international guests, among others, the one-bedroom model apartment was also presented, which will serve as a sales room to receive potential buyers.

Sue Fernández, sales manager, stated that The Six sets a new standard in livability, responding to current demands with a unique and visionary approach. “This model addresses the growing need for spaces designed for each stage of life, responding to an underserved housing demand here in the northern part of Santo Domingo.”.
She explained that The Six is not limited to livability. “It is also exclusivity with recreational areas designed for the enjoyment of the residents in each zone. It is a community with integrated spaces that foster socialization. And it is innovation and sustainability, implementing practices that reduce environmental impact and promote a responsible lifestyle,” the executive said.

He said that together with partners and allies they are building a new standard of living that redefines what it means to live with comfort, exclusivity and a vision for the future.
Technology
Frank García, representative of Solucreto, the company that will be in charge of the construction of the project, explained that one of the technologies implemented in the project consists of the manufacture of industrial concrete, for which they traveled to France with IMER, an Italian company expert in this field with more than 60 years of experience, through which they were able to visit various construction companies to experience it and import it to the country.
“We are completely self-sufficient in concrete production. During our visit to about 15 or 16 construction companies, we found that they all produce their own concrete and are so self-sufficient that their staff numbers didn't exceed 40 people. The labor shortage here in the country is no secret to us,” the engineer stated.
He said that Dominican builders suffer from a problem of manpower and automation of processes.
Another product he highlighted was the innovative cellular blog. “This is a very ordinary blog, as you can see, very similar to the traditional blog here, but it has a very important feature: it's made with foam that is very lightweight, but ultimately what we're providing our customers is total comfort in their homes.”.
Sustainability

Miguel Angel Hernández pointed out that The Six represents a new way of building residential properties in the country. “This will be one of the most sustainable construction projects in the Dominican Republic, because it involves both the construction process and the final occupants of the buildings.”
He added that the essential idea is to improve the living conditions of the occupants and that it is a project that is born "with the right attitude," because it has the experience and support of the Sotavento Group.
“It is a project conceived under the vision of Mr. Luis Rodríguez, an important real estate developer, with the support of a multidisciplinary group, with different national and international professionals accompanying him, as we have seen, aided by new technologies that are already proven in other countries and that come to transform the way of building in the Dominican Republic,” he said.

He noted the excellent location of the project, right on Jacobo Majluta Avenue, with easy access to transportation, and that the residential complex aims to fulfill the dream of many Dominicans to acquire their first home.
“We will have abundant green areas, ecological trails, rainwater collection and management to reuse it in the same process of the condominium and the project, and it has been a latent concern of the promoters and builders of this project to care for and generate the least impacts on the environment,” he said.
