A delegation from the Judiciary participated in the World Bank Land Conference 2024, an event focused on exploring aspects related to access to and security of land tenure.
The commission was composed of magistrates Alejandro Anselmo Bello Ferreras, judge of the Third Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice; Modesto Antonio Martínez Mejía, member of the Council of the Judiciary; and, representing the Real Estate Registry (RI), Indhira del Rosario, national director of Title Registration
At the event, which was held under the theme "Ensuring land tenure and access for climate action", the RI delegation participated in thematic sessions, research sessions and the Latin America and Caribbean regional workshop on "Innovations, technologies and community participation for sustainable land management and administration".
During the activity, knowledge was exchanged and participants were able to explore innovative approaches, best practices and challenges in land management with expert officials and professionals from around the world.
At the close of the World Bank Land Conference 2024, representatives from various countries of the Inter-American Network of Cadastre and Property Registration, such as: Dominican Republic, Argentina, Ecuador, Honduras, Chile and Paraguay, shared knowledge and experiences of their countries in the area of land valuation and ownership, at the headquarters of the Organization of American States (OAS).

It is the leading forum for the land sector, bringing together participants from governments, development partners, civil society, academia, and the private sector to present research, discuss issues and best practices, and inform policy dialogue.
