SANTO DOMINGO.- Five small real estate agencies met yesterday with executives from the Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies (AEI), to exchange ideas and seek to strengthen the work they develop from their spaces.
Marisol Shanlate, coordinator of the meeting, explained that the objective of the gathering was to share information and opinions that could contribute to and energize the work they carry out.
“We are five leaders who share clearly defined and generally very similar objectives and goals, all geared towards excellence. Those of us who lead the teams frequently consult and collaborate with each other, and we can say that we have developed a very healthy friendship that goes beyond the professional sphere,” explained the general manager of Viviendas IA, in her opening remarks.
The participating agencies were, in addition to Viviendas IA, Vismal Investment, led by Mariel Lotoro; HouseLink, managed by Annies Gómez; Locata, whose CEO is Alexis Conchard and Crisya, where Cristobalina Trinidad serves as head.
Shanlate said that the executives of each real estate company are at different stages of their careers, some with more experience and others just starting their businesses, and that they therefore value the guidance and support that the AEI can provide. The meeting took place at Spirit Coworking on Tiradentes Avenue.

Alberto Bogaert, president of the AEI, reviewed the work that the entity carries out, highlighting the importance of being part of the association because in the face of eventualities they have the protection and support of the same.
He referred to the training offered by the association through its educational program, which he believes is fundamental for every real estate agent to achieve success and prosperity in their career.
He advised the more than 30 real estate agents present to get training because many of today's large firms were once small like them and went through the same process of preparation. "We are giving the market what it needs, which is training to grow. Today's big companies were once small; everyone can have a piece of the pie," Bogaert stated.
For her part, Olga Gómez, executive director, alluded to the international organizations of which the AEI is a part, citing the NAR, National Association of Realtors and the CILA, Latin American Real Estate Confederation; which have enriched the entity in the strength and focus of its plans.
Mélido Marte, from RE/MAX Metropolitana, gave a brief speech, stating that the foundation of the real estate business is collaboration and the golden rule is ethics for growth, motivation, sustainability, and striving for more. "Do not do to others what you would not want done to you.".
Reyna Echenique, an expert in real estate law and a member of the board of directors of the AEI, also gave a presentation on the "DNA of the real estate agent".
