Real Estate Registry wins first place in project presentations in South Korea

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA- A delegation from the Real Estate Registry (RI) achieved first place in the presentation of final projects of the training "Capacity Building for the Management, Disposition and Efficient Development of State Property in the Dominican Republic 2024", held in Seoul, South Korea, where the institution participated for the first time.

A press release highlights that the RI commission presented the Interoperability Proposal for the Dominican Republic's Property Registry, emphasizing the institution's technological advancements and how these have improved the efficiency of services offered to users. This presentation was evaluated by executives from the Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) and other delegations.

The RI representation included Carlos Rondón Paula, interim deputy administrator of Information and Communications Technology; Nerson Espinal Ureña, interim Operations Manager; Wilnellia Fabián, operational manager of the National Directorate of Cadastral Surveys, and Rigoberto Lorenzo Ybert, registrar of titles of Baní.

The meeting highlighted the role of the Property Registry in the administration and legal security of real estate rights and their registration, as well as the challenges in terms of interoperability and efficiency in data management.

The training, aimed at senior and mid-level officials, was organized by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development. Participants learned how to promote efficiency in the management of state-owned property and how to increase property value.
