PUNTA CANA - The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) organization awarded the "Change Makers" award to the Tortuga Bay Puntacana Resort & Club hotel for supporting its community and its commitment to improving the physical, economic and emotional well-being of its community.
During its annual convention, held in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, the organization recognized eight exemplary hotels and hoteliers for their industry leadership, innovation, and dedication to their guests, employees, and communities
Upon receiving the award, Carmen Rosa Torres, Director of Sales and Hospitality at Puntacana Resort & Club, said that “for our team at Tortuga Bay Puntacana Resort & Club, it is an honor, beyond words, to be the recipients of this recognition, especially because of the significance behind the Change-Makers category.”.
Torres asserted that the tourism industry is not only about creating memorable and unique experiences for guests, "but also about being a force with the power of a domino effect to provide our community with the tools to grow, prosper, access a better life and economic sustainability.".
