SANTO DOMINGO.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported that this Saturday, January 10, the Floating Bridge over the Ozama River will be closed to vehicular traffic for two hours to allow the passage of three vessels.
The closing time will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. During that time, two vessels will travel upstream to the M&D Repair facility, and a third, the Hygrade 42 barge, will be traveling downstream.
A press release from the agency asks drivers of vehicles that regularly travel across the Floating Bridge to take the necessary precautions and, if they have to do so during that time, to look for alternative routes, such as the Matías Ramón Mella, Juan Pablo Duarte and Juan Bosch bridges.
Public Works reaffirms its commitment to safe, orderly and efficient mobility for all citizens, the press release highlights.
