SANTO DOMINGO.- The General Directorate of Passports (DGP ) announced the incorporation of its virtual assistant Salomé , a digital tool developed to strengthen service channels and facilitate citizen access to the services offered by the institution.
Salomé will allow users to schedule appointments for passport applications or renewals, check requirements according to the type of procedure, receive guidance on office hours and locations, and access updated information on the different services.
A press release explains that in addition to offering automated responses, Salomé has the ability to redirect the user to a human operator, should the query require it, thus guaranteeing more complete and personalized attention.
The Director General of Passports, Lorenzo Ramírez , highlighted that this initiative is part of the modernization and digital transformation process promoted by the DGP: “With Salomé we are bringing our services even closer to the citizen, betting on agile, transparent and available service at all times.”
The virtual assistant will be available 24/7 via WhatsApp . You can access it by sending a message to (809) 532-4233 to start a conversation. Its design allows it to provide immediate answers to frequently asked questions, guide users through procedures , and significantly reduce response times.

The platform is designed to improve communication with users, providing a transparent and accessible channel for citizens to carry out procedures from a mobile device.
