SANTO DOMINGO. – Legal certainty is key to attracting foreign investment and guaranteeing confidence in the market, said Ana María Ramos, CEO of the Real Estate Publishing Group, at the opening of a forum that analyzed this and other topics, and which took place in the Dominican capital.
Ramos, speaking at the First Real Estate Forum: Safe Square Meters Real Estate Investment Squared, argued that “talking about real estate is not just talking about buildings, it is also about the future, assets and the peace of mind of those who are betting on our country.”.
He indicated that the real estate niche is a dynamic market that makes robust contributions to the Dominican economy.
“We must protect this sector, with clear rules, certified actors, and with credibility, trustworthy actions, and transparency,” he stated.
He stated that from 2020 to the present, the real estate market has evolved and taken new steps that pose firm challenges.
Ramos, a journalist specializing in real estate issues, spoke at the opening of the aforementioned forum, which featured an agenda of four conferences, a panel, and a discussion. She reported that national and international experts attended the forum.
He specified that the exhibitors contributed knowledge and experiences with the aim of promoting and strengthening transparency and security in the real estate sector of the Dominican Republic.
He mentioned that the talks covered the essential steps for buying safely and transparently in the Dominican Republic, the challenge in the new era of the real estate agent, foreign investments, and pillars of guarantees for safe construction in the Dominican Republic.
She pointed out that the day concludes with the panel “The legal guarantees of the Dominican market in the face of real estate investment”, with the participation of Annerys Meléndez, Eddy Alcántara and Idamis Lozada, under the direction of Vivian Reyes.
The forum was attended by real estate professionals, representatives of financial institutions, construction entrepreneurs and actors linked to foreign investment and is shaping up to be a key meeting point for market analysis.
