SANTO DOMINGO – Heissel Ramírez is the CEO of H&J Real Estate, a real estate firm specializing in the marketing of tourist properties, located in the eastern part of the country. A physician by profession, he has dedicated nearly a decade to the real estate sector with passion, vision, and unwavering commitment.
We reproduce five questions that the printed edition of El Inmobiliario asked this prominent real estate advisor from the east of the country.
What was your inspiration for entering the sector?
It all started with the purchase of our first apartment together with my wife. We experienced firsthand what it means to find a space that becomes a home.
What values do you apply when you sell a home?
We don't sell roofs or walls. We support bold decisions with:
• Transparency is not a strategy, it is how we breathe.
• Integrity is not preached, it is lived.
• Excellence is not a result, it is a daily intention.
• Empathy is our compass.
• And the commitment, which goes beyond the contract.
How important is legal certainty in the sale of a home?
It's not a technical detail: it's the backbone of any solid and lasting real estate investment. It represents our clients' peace of mind today and the stability of their wealth tomorrow. That's why we work with a rigorous and transparent due diligence policy, verifying that each property has the corresponding legal, registry, and tax documentation.
What challenges do you see in the profession today?
The real estate sector faces a number of challenges, among which I highlight: the fluctuation of interest rates, the urgent need to modernize and streamline legal and registration processes, achieving orderly and sustainable urban growth, continuous training of human capital, and the lack of structured regulation in the profession.
What does the real estate sector need?
We need stronger synergy between the public and private sectors to enable the development of strategic infrastructure, especially in expanding tourist areas. A decisive investment in technology and advanced training is urgently needed to improve service quality, optimize processes, and further professionalize the industry.
