SANTO DOMINGO. – Gestiones Turísticas, SRL (Gestur) announced that it has become the first and only travel agency in the Dominican Republic to obtain ISO 27001 in Information Security, an international recognition that validates the rigorous, secure and reliable management of data.
"This new achievement adds to the ISO 9001 in Quality Management obtained previously, consolidating Gestur as the first travel agency in the country with double ISO certification," a press release highlights.
The formal delivery of this certification, explains the press document, took place at Gestur's facilities in Ágora Mall, in an event led by Ariel Espejo Combes, director of the certifying company AENOR Dominicana, who officially delivered the certification to Theresa Ann Sullivan, CEO of Gestur, accompanied by Cadelin Rosa, project manager and the team of professionals that make up the agency.
