SANTO DOMINGO.- The General Directorate of Community Development (DGDC) reported that it delivered 80 homes renovated with paint in the Abre Las Yayas community, in the Batista municipal district, in the municipality of El Cercado, in the province of San Juan, which benefits the same number of low-income families.

A press release highlights that this initiative is part of the social programs implemented by the institution with the aim of improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable communities in the country.

The handover ceremony was led by representatives of the institution, the head of the Regional Office, Felix Novas, and the provincial head of San Juan, Francisco Mateo, who highlighted the Government's commitment to continue promoting actions that contribute to the integral development of rural and urban communities, prioritizing the families that need it most.

The families who benefited expressed their gratitude for the renovation of their homes, noting that these improvements not only beautify their homes, but also raise their quality of life.

With these types of actions, the General Directorate of Community Development reaffirms its mission to promote social and human development, bringing concrete solutions to different localities throughout the national territory, the entity said in the document.
