In Colombia , David Collado , Minister of Tourism, presented the new tourism promotion platform " Discover Paradise ," an initiative aimed at consolidating the Dominican Republic as the preferred destination for Latin American travelers.
Tour operators and travel agents from Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Ecuador and Venezuela gathered for the presentation of the new campaign, aimed at continuing to promote the Dominican Republic as a favorite among Latin visitors.
Collado presented the new features, strengths and opportunities offered by the various Dominican destinations, from Santo Domingo and Santiago to Puerto Plata, Samaná, La Romana, Miches and Punta Cana.
The event also included the participation of specialized media , general press and digital platforms focused on travel and lifestyle, who closely followed the demonstrations and activities prepared for the day.
"We are not selling a country; we are promoting an experience : the essence, the culture, the gastronomy and the roots of the Dominican Republic , creating memorable moments to position our nation," the official explained.
The activity included immersive experiences designed to connect guests with Dominican cultural diversity
Sip & Paint with Korah Studio : An artistic session inspired by the Colonial City , accompanied by Dominican coffee.
· Sugar Cane : Rum Tasting : A sensory tour guided by experts who highlighted the history and quality of rum with designation of origin .
· The Cave of Eden : Taíno Legacy : Demonstration of cassava bread and an introduction to ancestral Taíno traditions.
· Merengue and Bachata with Swing: Dance class in Silent Disco , focused on the most emblematic rhythms of the country.
