Cabarete, the capital of wind and waves, is preparing to vibrate with adrenaline at full blast on the weekend of July 17-20 , with the celebration of the Cabarete Classic 2025 , the most anticipated water sports competition of the year, which will bring almost 100 athletes from 11 countries with boards, sails and wings to dominate the Atlantic in a competition that promises speed, style and excitement.
Windsurfing, kitesurfing, wingfoiling and foiling will combine in a unique show that brings together young promises, wind veterans and sports lovers of all ages in a celebration of the sea, music, culture and the free spirit that defines this town on the north coast of the country.
This sporting event, which expands its technical and generational boundaries, will bring together competitors from the United States, Curacao, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Switzerland, England, Canada, Saint Martin, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic , who will compete in windsurfing, kitesurfing, wingfoil, and windsurf foil events, consolidating Cabarete as one of the global meccas of sailing and board sports, according to a press release.

New for the 2025 edition is a combined category , in which athletes can demonstrate their mastery of several aquatic disciplines, promoting versatility and innovation. It will also be intergenerational, with participation open to children from 6 years old, reinforcing its inclusive and educational character.
