Work will begin this Saturday, January 10th, and will continue until Sunday the 25th.
SANTO DOMINGO.- The Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (OPRET) announced scheduled preventive maintenance on Line 1 of the Santo Domingo Metro, starting this Saturday, January 10, and continuing until Sunday, January 25.
The work will be carried out at night between the Gregorio Urbano Gilbert and Mamá Tingó stations. Work will be performed on a special schedule along this section, with an early closure beginning at 8:00 p.m. and reopening at the regular operating hours of the transit system, according to a press release from the agency.
He explained that to facilitate the transfer of users on that route, buses from the Metropolitan Office of Bus Service (OMSA) will be available free of charge.
“During these 16 days, the OPRET Operations team will be working 8 hours a day on this scheduled maintenance. This work is being carried out preventively to ensure the proper functioning of the metro and guarantee service for system users,” OPRET reported in a press release.
