Yeranni Brea: “Failing by trying will always be better than not having tried at all.”

“The real estate sector appeared in my life when I wasn’t looking for it, but it was looking for me.”.

SANTO DOMINGO – Yeranni Brea, general manager and broker-owner of Re/Max Monumental, is proof that when knowledge is combined with the desire to transform, projects are created that drive economic and social development. A marketing professional by training, she found her true passion in the real estate sector, thanks to what she calls a “God-incidence.”

“The real estate sector appeared in my life when I wasn’t looking for it, but it was looking for me. I never saw myself selling properties, but when I understood that behind each sale there was a family, a story, a life change… everything made sense,” he recalls.

More than the business itself, Brea, who holds a Master's degree in Real Estate Management, fell in love with the impact on people's lives. “I discovered that this isn't about selling, it's about transforming. Since then, I've never doubted that this is where I belong.”.

Although she now leads one of the most solid franchises in the sector, she once believed that security lay in a salary and that success meant working for others. Despite growing up surrounded by stories of hard work and entrepreneurship, she didn't see herself as an entrepreneur. "I thought the path was to follow rules, not break them.".

Over time, she understood that the only certainty is "betting everything on yourself." She affirms that entrepreneurship didn't make her stronger, but more aware. "Today I don't just lead a company, I lead my life. I gratefully embrace that version of myself who worked hard for the dreams of others and fell down to understand that I could do it too.".

Entrepreneurship

RE/MAX Monumental was born in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Amidst the uncertainty and fear, Brea made the most important decision of her life: “to commit to a vision that even I didn't fully understand. But God did.”.

“Monumental is not just another office. It’s a declaration of faith, a home for the brave, a space where people don’t just work, they transform. People don’t come here just to sell, they come to grow,” he affirms. Together with his partner Jimmy Frías, he aims for Monumental to be “a benchmark for real transformation and a bridge of opportunity for everyone who comes with different goals.”.

Brea, who is a mentor, seeks to support women who feel lost or have forgotten their sparkle. “I didn’t come here just to teach about real estate, I came here to change beliefs.”.
