SANTO DOMINGO. -The panel “Women of Concrete: Architects of Solid Leadership”, held last Saturday during the launch of the magazine “Mujer de Concreto”, El Inmobiliario Media Group , left countless lessons learned by the panelists.
The protagonists were Iris Espinal, commercial director of the northern zone of the Noval Group; Reyna Echenique, specialist in real estate law, of the Echenique Group; and Fernanda Muñoz, who is the founder of EME Concepts.
During their presentations, moderated by Civilmek's commercial director, Osman González, and by the executive director of the Dominican Association of Portland Cement Producers (Adocem), Julissa Báez, the speakers shared their journey in the real estate sector, highlighting their challenges, lessons learned and the impact of their leadership.
Iris Espinal
For Iris Espinal, entering this market represented an opportunity for reinvention and exploration of new possibilities. From the outset, she challenged professional paradigms by making the leap from journalism to the real estate sector, discovering the opportunities this field offered her.
His main objective was to find a job that would provide him with financial stability to achieve the economic goals he had set for himself personally.
Despite the offers she received from relatives in different parts of the world, such as Canada, Switzerland and the United States, she was very sure that her country, the Dominican Republic, was full of opportunities.

“What I did was conduct market research. What business could help me achieve those goals, both financial and professional, within a certain timeframe?” he constantly asked himself, eventually leading him to this endeavor.
His first steps were with the RE/MAX franchise, where he worked for six months. Then, he received an offer from Noval Properties. And, from then on, he recounted how other doors began to open.
He emphasized that in each of his actions, from his work to his negotiations with clients, he has been able to incorporate communication strategies with everything he learned in his primary profession.
Reyna Echenique
Reyna Echenique is distinguished by her growth mindset and resilience. Despite the challenges she has faced, she confronted and overcame her fears, transforming every rejection and obstacle into stepping stones to move forward.
“For me, venturing into this business and overcoming the challenges has become a habit. It’s a habit that has contributed to strengthening not only my emotional strength, but also my mindset,” she expressed during the panel presentation, held at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Punta Cana.
One of her most powerful moments was when she emphasized that she has "never put a mental ceiling on herself," highlighting the influence of her parents, who introduced her to the strength training business from a young age.
Unlike many stories, Echenique revealed that she never had the opportunity to start at an agency, as she wasn't given the chance. However, far from discouraging her, this became a driving force to pursue her dreams, helping others while also helping herself develop.
Fernanda Muñoz
Fernanda Muñoz stands out most for her growth in international and national markets, as well as her vision for the future within the real estate sector.
The architect, who focuses her initiatives on sustainable construction, highlighted perseverance as one of the conditions that lead to success, while pointing out the issue of egos as one of the evils of today.
