The president of the FEM, lawyer Rossy Escotto, welcomed the measure and described it as a significant step toward economic recovery. He added that this segment of the productive apparatus, essential for job creation, social resilience and territorial development, requires active policies that recognize its structural challenges.
“Therefore, FEM urges economic authorities, the national financial system, and regulatory bodies to implement clear and transparent mechanisms with differentiated criteria that ensure real and fair access to these resources for women entrepreneurs,” Escotto stated. She emphasized that this call is accompanied by a proposal to establish controls and monitoring mechanisms to track the allocation of funds , incorporating impact indicators with an inclusive and territorial focus.
We also emphasize the need to promote financial instruments adapted to the reality of women-led SMEs, as part of a national strategy for sustainable growth.
The president of FEM reaffirmed the organization's commitment to continue promoting alliances, coordinating efforts, and supporting its members so that they can be protagonists of this opportunity for economic recovery.
Furthermore, he urged citizens to remain vigilant regarding the use of these resources. It is everyone's responsibility to ensure that these public funds fulfill their purpose: to reactivate the Dominican economy in an inclusive, sustainable, and socially just manner.
