Third annual Ignite conference held in the country

Hyatt's Inclusive Collection successfully concluded the third edition of its annual IGNITE conference, an event that brought together 80 of its main business partners to strengthen ties, share strategic perspectives and plan for joint growth.

For two days, key topics were discussed, such as market trends, brand evolution, business strategy, and the fundamental role of business partners throughout the region.

"Tour operators and agencies have been, are, and will continue to be essential to Inclusive Collection," said Javier Águila, president of Hyatt's Inclusive Collection, in a video addressed to attendees.

He highlighted the momentum of the Collection, supported by a consolidated leadership team, an expanding portfolio, and recent strategic moves, including the alliance with Bahia Principe and the acquisition of Playa Hotels & Resorts. “Our focus is on intentional growth, refining our brands to present them to travelers in a clear and compelling way, with the goal of fostering lasting relationships,” he added.

Highlights of the IGNITE 2025 agenda

From September 29 to October 2, 2025, attendees participated in a carefully curated agenda designed to inform and inspire collaboration, while sharing relevant milestones and updates, including:

In addition to professional activities, the conference included social and environmental impact initiatives, such as beach clean-ups and reforestation efforts. Beyond the hotel walls, the event also offered a trip to Laguna Redonda, a local farm, and rice paddies—just some of the many local experiences guests can enjoy while staying in Miches.

Jaqueline Mora, Vice Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, delivered the closing remarks, highlighting the country's commitment to tourism and public-private partnerships. "Miches is the only destination that was born as a planned destination. The government came first and established the rules, then the investment followed," she said.
