SANTO DOMINGO - The Dominican Association of Surveyors (Asodagrim) paid tribute to 17 female surveyors, in an event that highlighted their career, dedication and contribution to the development of the sector in different spheres of society.
The event, held at District Event Venue, brought together professionals, family members, and colleagues to celebrate the work of these women, who have made their mark on surveying. Each honoree received an acrylic terminal block, an emblematic tool of the profession, as a symbol of her effort and commitment.
The recognized surveyors were: Amalia Santiago, Darkis Cadena, María Flores, Rafaela Marte, Nubia Ledys Salomón, Verónica Sánchez, Juana Rafelina Cáceres, Colomba Omega Lebreault, Francisco Eusebio and Dahianna de la Rosa.

Also Jael Ferreira, María del Carmen Núñez, Ismenia de los Santos, Ana Miguelina Ortíz, Juana Peña, Yaskara Gratereaux and Pamela Burgos, who work in various areas, including the public and private sectors, teaching and independent practice.
During the ceremony, Victor Torres, president of Asodagrim, highlighted the importance of women's role in land surveying and their impact on the country's transformation. "Today we honor these 17 professionals who, with their talent, effort, and leadership, have driven the growth of our profession," he said.
This tribute is part of the association's efforts to recognize the work of its members and strengthen the surveying community in the Dominican Republic.
