This year the event debuts an innovative fair structure, with interactive sets, smart signage and aisles organized by thematic colors.
SANTO DOMINGO. – The Dominican Republic Hotel and Tourism Association (Asonahores) announced the launch of the thirty-seventh edition of its traditional Trade Show, the most important business meeting of the national tourism value chain, which will be held from September 10 to 12, 2025 at the Blue Mall Punta Cana facilities.
Its executives reported that the 2025 trade show will be a strategic meeting point for companies in the tourism sector seeking to showcase their latest advancements in technology, innovation, and sustainability. This year, the event debuts an innovative exhibition structure, featuring interactive displays, smart signage, and color-coded aisles designed to enhance the visitor experience. The entire venue will have 100% Wi-Fi coverage, guaranteeing continuous connectivity for exhibitors and attendees, they explained.
Javier Tejeda, first vice president of Asonahores, highlighted the sector's impact on the national economy, indirectly and directly generating more than 750,000 jobs. He also noted that tourism was responsible for bringing in more than $10 billion in foreign exchange in 2024, surpassing remittances in this regard.
“One-fifth of the Dominican Republic’s gross domestic product is a direct, indirect, or induced result of tourism activity. These figures demonstrate what we have managed to build so far and the confidence of the markets in our future as a destination,” Tejeda stated.
New features this year include an exclusive networking space with functional areas designed to facilitate meetings, presentations, and strategic connections between companies. The program will also include specialized talks and thematic panels with national and international experts, live demonstration areas, a schedule of pre-arranged business appointments, and a daily artistic performance.
Aguie Lendor, executive vice president of Asonahores, highlighted that this is the largest trade exhibition in the country and the insular Caribbean held indoors, occupying a space of more than 4,000 square meters, where the strength and diversity of our tourism industry is tangibly exhibited.
“The Asonahores Trade Show has passed the most important test, that of time, consolidating itself for more than 30 years as a key platform for the development of tourism and its multiple productive chains,” Lendor highlighted.
Lendor also detailed that this edition will feature the participation of companies from more than 30 economic sectors, including agricultural and industrial production, gastronomy, technologies, construction, sustainability, crafts, financial services, among others.
