SANTO DOMINGO. -The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported that from 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday the 18th until 5:00 a.m. Kilometer 9 expressway Cibao-Santo Domingo direction (west-east).
The purpose of the closure is to continue with the improvement and paving work on this important and strategic road, which connects the Dominican capital with Santiago and the entire Cibao region .
To ensure more organized traffic during the execution of the works, the MOPC will have the support of agents from the General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transport (Digesett) and technical personnel from the National Institute of Transit and Land Transport (Intrant) .
The institution also informs that this Wednesday the 19th, from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am , a night intervention will be carried out at the overpass of Avenida 27 de Febrero with Tiradentes , aimed at the maintenance and reinforcement of the structure.
In order to minimize any impact on peak traffic hours, both projects have been scheduled exclusively at night and will be carried out in stages until their completion.
The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) urges drivers and citizens to collaborate with these technical workshops, whose purpose is to strengthen the safety and quality of the road system in the Dominican Republic.
