In Monte Plata, the Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (Mivhed), through its Vice Ministry of Housing and Habitat, completed last Thursday the signing process for the delivery of 100 property titles to the residents of the Fundejur-INVI project, in Cristo Rey del Universo, in the municipality of Bayaguana, Monte Plata province.
A press release highlights that with this process, the entity ends more than 20 years that these 100 families have been waiting for the title that accredits them as owners of their properties.
During the event, the governor of Monte Plata, Rafaela Javier Gomera, pointed out that the government maintains its focus on ensuring that citizens have their titles, with the legality and guarantee that they have a true property right.
“Monte Plata, which did not have a title, now has one, because we are very happy that this will bring investments because property rights are respected,” the official said.

Meanwhile, architect Michael Lamarche, representing the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (MIVHED) as head of its Real Estate Registry for Construction Projects, stated that after the signing of contracts, the transfer of titles will proceed so that citizens have the guarantee that they own their homes.
The 100 families who benefited from this day of contract signings thanked President Luis Abinader for the social policy he is implementing by delivering titles to families who have been waiting for this good news for years.
It is worth remembering that this project was built in 2004 by the National Foundation for the Development of Rural Youth (Fundejur), together with the then National Housing Institute (INVI) , and since then, its owners have been waiting for their titles.
This signing event is part of the National Land Titling Plan implemented by the government of President Luis Abinader, benefiting thousands of families in all provinces of the Dominican Republic.
