SANTO DOMINGO.- Playa Nueva Romana, a residential complex belonging to the real estate division of Grupo Piñero in the Dominican Republic, announced that it received three international certifications highlighting the quality of its security systems.
The audit and certification were carried out by MSS GLOBAL, a recognized UK entity, authorized to certify according to ISO standards and a member of the IAF (International Accreditation Forum) and the UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service), explains a press release.
These certifications cover three key international standards. ISO 18788:2015 certifies management systems for private security operations, guaranteeing effectiveness and professionalism in asset protection. ISO 9001:2015 focuses on quality management systems, ensuring that all processes meet the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
Finally, ANSI/ASIS PSC.1:2012 certifies the specific quality management system for private security companies, reaffirming the commitment to practices and procedures that meet the most demanding requirements of the sector.
The press release states that, following a thorough review and audit process, the Security Department of Playa Nueva Romana has demonstrated its ability to meet the rigorous requirements established by these international standards. "This recognition is a testament to the team's diligent and professional work, as well as the robust security management system implemented," it notes.
“By achieving this certification, Playa Nueva Romana demonstrates its firm commitment to international best practices and marks a milestone in the Dominican real estate industry by being the first Security Department to receive this recognition. This achievement underscores our dedication to establishing standards of excellence in security and management,” said Jesús Durán, CEO of Grupo Piñero in the Dominican Republic.

The statement explains that in a continuous effort to improve the safety and well-being of its residents, Playa Nueva Romana has integrated advanced Artificial Intelligence technology. “The residential complex has more than 300 thermal imaging cameras, ensuring continuous and effective monitoring 24 hours a day. This technological upgrade not only reinforces community security but also provides residents with greater peace of mind, reaffirming the Group’s commitment to innovation and the protection of its communities.”.
ISO 18788, published in 2015 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), establishes a standardized framework for private security operations management systems. Designed to ensure operational effectiveness, legal compliance, and continuous improvement, this standard promotes safe and efficient practices in the private security sector, aligning with international human rights principles.
