SANTO DOMINGO - The Dominican Concrete Institute (INDOCON) held its Annual General Meeting last week, in which the Management Report for the year 2024 was presented, as well as the Strategic Development Plan for the period 2025-2030.
During the day, the institutional advances of the last year were highlighted, and the main challenges of the national construction and real estate sectors were discussed, especially those of the concrete subsector.
Likewise, the strategic objectives that will guide the organization's work in the coming years were shared, with an emphasis on sustainability, technical training, regulatory strengthening, and international collaboration.
During this assembly, the new Board of Directors to lead the institution during the period 2025–2027, made up of representatives from recognized companies in the sector.
The following will be in charge of the body: Luis Sabater, president; Rovin Rodríguez, vice president; Yudelkis Placencia, secretary; Osvaldo Oller, treasurer; Miguel Pimentel, First Member; José Manuel Núñez, Second Member; and Ernesto Rodríguez, Third Member.
Sabater emphasized in his speech that “the new strategic plan represents a clear roadmap to position the concrete sector as a key player in the country's development, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and the priorities of the construction sector.”
In the presentation of the annual report, the executive director, Rosanna Matos, expressed that with this Assembly INDOCON reaffirms its commitment to technical development, institutional transparency and continuous improvement of the concrete industry in the Dominican Republic.
