The strategy

The Dominican Republic's participation in FITUR 2026 reveals a change of focus towards a more diversified, sustainable and high value-added tourism model.

The simultaneous promotion of emerging destinations, along with a solid financial agenda, demonstrates a coordinated strategy between the public and private sectors to attract long-term investment and reduce dependence on traditional tourist hubs.

Likewise, the emphasis on air connectivity, sports tourism, luxury and territorial development reinforces the country's positioning as a competitive and resilient destination in the global context.

FITUR 2026 is thus emerging as a key platform to bolster the image of the Dominican Republic, not only as a regional leader in tourist arrivals, but also as a benchmark in innovation and tourism planning in the Caribbean region.
